Health Testing
We conduct health screenings for all dogs used in our breeding program.
We seek to ensure the long-term health of our puppies and dogs. All of our dogs are genetically tested. We test our breeding boys and girls for PRA.

Most of our dogs have CAER eye certifications by a canine ophthalmologist, all have patellar and cardiac (heart) certifications by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc (OFA) , as recommended by the Dachshund Club of America guidelines. Our dogs are given CHIC numbers by the OFA.

Dogs that we breed go through an extensive panel of tests before we will clear them to breed.
We provide a one year health warranty for a genetic disease that significantly impairs the life of the dog as determined by two veterinarians.
Should a serious genetic issue be discovered within the first year, we will pay the vet
expenses for treating that issue up to the purchase price of your puppy or will replace your dog with another puppy when one becomes available.
